Uhuru ( Peaceful ) Trust has been working in Africa for a number of years, however we became a registered charity in the UK in 2009 to raise the profile of the Trust and to generate more funding for the work that we do.

 

Uhuru ( Peaceful ) Trust has been set up with the following objectives:

 

To provide relief from financial hardship through the provision of grants to communities and individuals, to pay for facilities and services to improve their lives.

 

To provide an education structure by funding schools and teachers, so that the children can have a better tomorrow. This will in turn help the communities to be more aware and become self sufficient.

 

To work with the local governments to protect the wildlife, in particular endangered species, through a programme of education to encourage peaceful coexistence. This will also help increase public safety and promote health in communities.

 

These projects at present are taking place in Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique and the Congo with a view to further expansion in to West Africa and Asia
